Boy that article brings back memories of hour upon hour sitting at the bench in the basement working small block Ford heads. I have that exact die grinder downstairs. Just used it tonight for a household modification. That grinder is incredible and saves a ton of time when porting. The Dremels dont have the power and drills are too slow.
Found a couple here for 100 bucks... Too good to be true? http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/pts/1756343462.html
I paid $50 for a good set of used E7s with a lot more miles on them. I'm installing them as is. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Thanks! I'll definitely go take a look at them, I'd love to port 'em at home and have a little extra horsepower haha
Ported and polished e7s will flow BETTER than stock GT40s. If you do them right. GT40s are just the next step up from e7s, so even a little bit of work will make them outflow the GT40s. Still cheaper to slap on GT40s if you can find them, rather than invest time or money to get e7s to flow as good. I would just put the e7s on and run em.
