It has been so long since driving at night that I can't remember these things! The headlight dimmer switch controls the dash light intensity. I replaced my old switch as it was a bit twitchy. However, if I turn the switch all the "up" shouldn't the dome light come on? Also, I asked about using LED lights in the dash for better illumination but failed to consider whether or not they are dimmable.
The dome light will come on if you turn the switch all the way. There's not much dimming LED's before they turn all the way off.
On mine, you turn the headlamp switch knob counter clockwise to turn on the dome light. It takes some effort! There is a spring loaded detent to overcome..
The headlight dimmer switch is on the floor. The dome light and instrument cluster light dimmer knob is on the headlight switch.
Thanks, my dome light works when I open the door but not when I turn the switch all the way to the left!!!! Brand new switch! I'll start digging.
