I finally found a pair of headlight trim from this guy---he pulled them off a '75 Mav. They look like the pair I have, but do any of you happen to know off the top of your head if they'll fit a 72 with no problems? Thanks.

Early vs. late bezels have the lamp adjustment openings in different positions. Early ones have the openings at the outside and bottom, late have the openings at the outside and top.

They will still fit just fine. Adjust the headlights with them off and then put them back on. Nobody I know ever adjusted a headlight anyway once their set correctly.

:D You Maryland guys with no state safety inspection! In PA it's part of the inspection procedure to check the aim of the headlights and adjust as necessary. The last three inspections they charged me $15 each time because they said they had to adjust the lights.

Mav72 they will screw on as Dennis says, and you could even add the notch to bottom for adjustment if you wanted to. I doubt anyone would notice.

California doesn't sound so bad after hearing about this safety inspection :D

Yeah, it's a money-making gimmick. Used to be even worse. Back in the '70's and before you had to do it every 6 months. Now it's every 12 months. At the same time now though we have to have emissions testing, too. That costs even more than the safety inspection.

Sorry, didn't mean to change the subject of this thread.
