hi guys i havent had to ask for help in awhile but after looking at many older posts i still am a bit lost as what to do here. my 70 is finally done wich means yep time to start a new one, i scored a very low 22,000 mile 76 green 2door maverick out of ny 2 weeks ago and love it all ready, but i am swapping the 250 for a 302 i have and want to use the factory power steering and column shifter, i have nothing as far as manifolds or headers i'm using the hooker 6901s in my 70 and there great but that car has manual steering and a 5 speed, what r u guys and gals using in this type of application also if anyone has a home for this very low mileage 250 l6 motor let me know i would like to see it get a good home thanks jeff:burnout:

I was using hooker 6901's with a floor shift car that had the interlock rod which is the same as the column shift cars, if I remember right, but the clearance was extremely tight. Most guys here that I've seen, weren't able to make them fit. I assume because of differences in the cars, but I did also do a little tweaking because I wanted to retain the shift locking feature.

Want a bolt in header with NO mods required, then get the Doug Thorley shorties.

Any type of long tube header (unless you get custom ones made) will require a power steering drop down bracket.
