I called Hagerty today. They quoted me $225 a year for full coverage at $9,000 agreed value, with road service.
Aaas it is now I have the Maverick on my liiability policy and 2 more cars at $100 a month.
Has anybody used Hagerty before sounds to good to be true

    Hey timers,
I have seen that several guys here have mentioned that name. I'm sure you will get several responsis soon.
Just a thought, you could try entering the name in the search field and see if it comes up... i'm fixing to try that myself, i'm curious.
Is the quote you received for liability or full coverage? Full coverage is a rather broad term these days i'm finding out...

It's true! I personally have Grundy Ins on mine but they are very similar to Hagerty. Go for it and start saving some money. :)

i have hagerty on mine and so far have been easy to work with. i was paying $300 a year for $15,000 coverage. we will see how long it takes to get my settlement check. i used their roadside assist several times with no problems. hagerty or grundy, you can be pretty sure you are safe. conventional insurance you will have to fight to get the true value of your car.

Ouch, someone got his feelings hurt? I did cry you a river, didn't you see the smiley? :D

And for what it's worth, I was ready to move out a year ago. I was talked into staying at home by my parents and a couple of fellow Maverick guys. I pay bills. Taxes come out of my pay check too. Sorry I'm just a peon and don't make 75k+ like you.

(you know I love you John :D )

I have full coverage on 3 of my classic cars with Hagerty. No rate increase in 2 years, and $45,000 coverage for a little over $300 a year. I can't complain. My daily driver '69 Cougar conv. costs me more than twice that amount when added to my Explorer for only liability coverage.

I have Hagerty as well. A lot of insurance for a paltry fee. However there are stipulations. It cant be a daily driver, you must own a daily driver, liability must be the same as your daily driver, your classic car must be garaged, and there is a limit to how many miles a year it can be driven, I think 1500. Once you fit that criteria, it makes owning these cars more palletable for the hobbiest. My agent only saw pictures and never asked for the mileage. I am still amazed at how well coved I am for such a modest price.

Those stipulations sound pretty easy to get around.. Swap in your spare gauge cluster and cruise... how they going to know..

I have $14000 coverage on my 1964 F-100 and its like $150 a year, added my Maverick for $31 dollars a year with an agreed value of $5000. My freind at work has them on his Buick, his car caught on fire and did about $1400 worth of damage. They paid for all the repairs
