    I also was really tired of that ugly ass rusty water pump, so for $30 I got a NEW one at Auto Zone, de-greased, primed and painted it black. Looks a lot better

    I got it to fire off. I got the carb from Ratio411.
    The car sounds completely different (or it's my imaginmation)
    who knows. I just put a couple of racks of ribs in the oven. I'm off to clean and put tools away. :)

    Looking Great! Rack of ribs and if I lived closer,,, you could've sat an watched all that put together!!! Mavericks, 4 barrel, rack of ribs,,, it don't get much better! Good Luck!

    The ribs were great A new recipe for dry rub.
    I think I got the distrib in a notch off.
    it runs but barely. Now I have the lawn mowed, thats my project for today.
    static time it to see if thats what happwened...then fix it

    Not enough luck was sent my waY. I must have had the distrib in and out 40 times and still nothing
    . It has spark to the plugs I'll get it
    Just maybe not today

    What cam are you running?
    If the plugs are wired in this pic, 1 and 5 cylinders are not in 289/302 order.
