Hi. I was wondering if anyone needed a 1974 Maverick grill in good shape in exchange for a 1972 Maverick grill in good shape? My 72 Sprint needs one. Right now it has what I believe to have a 74 in it too. In other words, I have (pretty sure) two 74 grills. I know at least one is 74 for sure. Both have the parking lights. Not sure of internal shape with the lights.

I am sure many have these grills, but in case someone needs one, even if they don't have a 72 to swap me, they can get one of them for a very reasonable price. Probably not much over shipping. Just hate to waste them when this old 74 four door gets hauled off. It is pretty much stripped of everything else

Only thing still on it is the brake drums. Would I be smart to just bolt the wheels on hubs to take it to the iron place and keep the drums, or or the drums plentiful? I know some will be beyond the specs for turning, unless I find someone who knows someone. Ha ha. Some will absolutely refuse to turn them when beyond specs, which I can understand from a liability standpoint. Still a lot of metal left in most cases, but I guess if they didn't put specs on the drums, some would carve them to nothing.

Got to tell you ladies and guys, this is a great site. Never knew it existed and never dreamed so many would be on it.

I can remember not too many years ago when I used to go to what is called "pick-a-part here in central California, and there would be Mavericks everywhere. These stupid --------- junked them mostly just because of bad engines from what I could gather. Some of them were perfect. Now, after probably hundreds of thousands of these great cars were crushed, burned, etc., people are waking up to the fact that they were and are great cars. What a terrible waste.

I also collect Cushman motor scooters, and I can't tell you how many of them went to the dump sites.

What a terrible waste of machinery. Thankfully, there are still a lot of Mavericks left, and many, I am sure, still sitting in sheds, fields, etc.

All have a nice day. Jack.
