I was just looking around for Maverick information and found this site. After reviewing some of the articles this is the place to be. My grandmother bought this 1971 Mav, 302 V-8, new in Redding, CA. Then when she could not drive any longer my Dad picked it up and then he drove just to go fishing in Apollo Park, Lancaster (the hotter than !@# Desert). Same story. He decided to quit driving and passed the car to me. I'm not going to quit anytime soon.:naughty: It has 79k miles, white and VERY plain. So now the fun begins getting it ready to be a sneeker.

You have a cool family where everybody kept hanging on to that Maverick. You'll have to hand it down someday too. :dancing:

    Passing it on!

Thank you for the Welcome and you know IT HAS been asked for by my grand-daughter who is a CAR NUT. She has been helping me on some of my cars that we entered into week end shows. She really wants to set this up for a driver BUT she says "It need more go and some show stuff Grandpa". Looks like my Wallet is toast again...;)

My car was my wife's great-grandmother's car, purchased new on 9/21/73. Pics of what it looked like, what she looked like (the great-grandmother), story about how I got it, and what I did to it on my website. http://home.cmaaccess.com/~scodon/

At least this granny had the good sense to upgrade to a V-8
