JUST BOUGHT A 1972 GRABBER AND THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE BLK NOT CHROME. WHAT IS STOCK ? I have seen them both ways in the past.

On the Grabbers, black tail light bezels and a black tail light panel was stock.

1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
On 1970 Grabbers: Black tail panel, chrome lights

On 1971-1972 Grabbers: If the tail panel was black, so were the tailights. If the tail panel was another color (lets say a red tail panel on a white grabber with red stripes) then the tailights were chrome.

    This has been my experience.

I've seen the same thing - black tail light bezels only if the back panel was painted black - otherwise they were the standard chrome bezels ...
