Grabber Spoilers! NEW? w/extensions! Carbon Fiber?

ok i see enough people talking about grabber spoilers on here and also i know they are getting hard to find these days.. i remember i would find them all over the junk yard in the 80's.. oh well.

well today i went ahead and started to take steps to remake the spoiler! Ok it won't be like the orginal but it sure will fit like one! i've been in contact with a supplier of carbon along with a friend that will do the molds.

not i have seen the repos and they suck.. and if you seen what happend when you order from other fiberglass guys that make everything... the part won't fit and they coundn't give a damn about your maverick! trust me these parts don't fit!

well i gonna try to get these done in Fiberglass and yes Carbon Fiber. now i know when i did my hood people said "wow! do you have that in a stock hood?" well i made that hood for myself and not reallly to sell so i didn't think there would be much interest then just a few guys. i also had alot of you guys say do roll pans and what not however the spoiler i'm doing this for the maverick fans out there like you guys... i mean you can still get alot of roll pans and hoods for mavericks out there but for spoilers you hardly see any! not to meantion the ones on e-bay go for more then 100 bucks easy! how i know it will fit! well for one carbon fiber cannot be reshaped so it must fit right off the bat! the mold will be made from a OE/factory grabber spoiler! also fiberglass will be made from that same mold so it will be the same fit! all factory thread areas will be the same place.. there will be no hardware included.

I WANNA KNOW COST RIGHT? well its gonna be hard to say.. just last month carbon fiber went up alot since the demand is more then the production. now you can get these from other places for $109 bucks plus shipping! i will tell you right now it will NOT FIT.. and if it does it won't even be an exact dupe of a grabber spoiler... but if you like you can go ahead and buy one and find out for yourself ;) oh and you can deal with their customer service like the on post T.L. posted... sorry to here that dude!

so i'm thinking about around $250 for a carbon one and about $150ish for a fiberglass one + shipping.

do you guys think this is fair? do i have any takers? if no one is really interested i'm still gonna make a few probably one carbon to every 9 fiberglass ones.

i know chuck over at maverick conntection has been disapointed about the sales of the maverick valve covers... i remember the hype of these covers and how many people would by them... but talk is cheap and when it came down to it the demand wasn't there. so i'm comparing it to the cost of those to the cost of one of theses. will it be the same out come? if i don't get any bites i'll sell a few here and there and that will be the last of them... and i bet proabaly i will be the last person that will do this for a really long long time!

lastly i will proabaly need a so cal grabber in about 4 months to to a test fitment on this! so make sure it fits right! something other compaines do not do! i'll either give it to you at my cost or free (no promises).. just depends on the cost of this mold and shipping and everything.

    i need your feed back!

Im going to sound like a cheap-scate to some of you but that $150 + shipping sounds to high for my taste. $50 + shipping seems fair to me or $100 with shipping included at the most. just my opinion.

this thread is more about the grabber spoiler and ends rather then the hood.

if you asking about the hoods... becuase of the size of hoods they must be shipped by truck! shipping truck is not cheap.

let all get off the subject of the hoods i think its confusing people. if you want to know more about the hoods PM me.

I wish you had these spoilers a few months ago when I got one from UP that sucked. I ended paying $160 or so for it and then ended up having to buy a new spoiler because it wouldn't fit, so yeah, $150 seems fair to me.
