    I just got home from a 12 round trip to Covington GA were I got my third maverick.
    I was hesitant to buy it over the phone but the seller was sure about it he said that if I did not like it enough I was free to go home with my money and all I would lose is the rental for the tow dolly, gas money and a day's worth of driving.
    So I drove under the day's long rain and i was gladly surprised but at the same time felt a little bad for the guy because he was letting go of his baby, and I commited to, if in the future I decided to sell it, he would have the first chance to do so. The car is a dimond in the rough.
    Being a southern car it has a very minimal amount of rust. The 302 has less than 1000 miles since being rebuilt using lots of hi performance parts such pistons and cam by summit and edelbrock 4 barrel carburator and aluminium intake. The undercarriage is rust free but it has a cowl vent leak. Strange but true. The leak is a small one and it has not rotted the floor boards yet, thank God.it was a 6 in line and unfortunatelly he matted the compleatly rebuilt 302 to the original c-4 tranny and I am not to crazy about that.
    It needs some interior work but it is minimal.
    He had a cheap weekend painters job on it but it looks good for now.
    Needs the bumpers rechromed and here is what really stinks;
    He cut the front springs to lower it and it bounces a lot besides of the fact that it drags the oil pan when I pull in my drive way.
    It has some summit racing mufflers and is to loud for my taste.
    Don't get me wrong, I like some noise but this is teenager loud and abnoxious in my opinion.
    So here is my request to all my fellow maverick-comet fanatics.
    Were do I get stock size springs for the front and how difficult is it to change them?.
    oh, by the way I know that you like pictures and I will load them up tomorrow when I get off work.
