Got tired of seeing it on wheel dollies, and junk getting stacked on it, in it, under it, and around it.

Pulled her out, filled up the transmission, and took her around town.

I forgot how much fun it is to ride around in it...

Got it inspected and all legal again, and ready for the fall car shows and cruises :thumbs2:

It has been in the garage since about 30 miles after I put the new engine in. Inspection was 2 years out. It was sad to see it end up like that.

    Not again.

It was mostly an error of letting the wife buy a black convertible. When that got put into the garage, I had to push the maverick over as close to the wall as possible so she could park in there, too.

So I put it on wheel dollies and wheeled it to the wall, making it a major hassle to take it out for a drive. I had to pull it over to the middle of the garage, jack up the front, remove front dollies, jack up the back, remove rear dollies, drive, then reverse entire procedure when done so the convertible will fit.

I told her today to park closer to HER wall, the mav is coming down and staying down!

at least it was in a garage. Both of mine are sitting outside int he driveway waiting for me to get off my arse and order two radiator. Meanwhile I am driving my big ole dodge truck to work when I Just (less than 200 miles ago) put a brand new 4 speed toploader in my 73 grabber and then blew a hole in the radiator on the way home from the track and haven't order the stinkin' radiator for it yet. and the 72 6 cyl. has a pin hole in the radiator have been driving it like that for over a year and just putting antifreeze in when it gets low and after the radiator blowing out in the other one on the way home I am afraid to drive the 72 to work because I don't want to end up on the side of the road with a pinhole that decided to open up like a banana.

Well maybe tlaking about it will get me off my butt this weekend and I' order the radiator(s)

Naw, I didn't say it like that.

I called her and told her to be careful when she pulls into the garage after work. There won't be as much room as she is used to...

Its amazing how quickly time passes when you don't think about it. When I did some work on my Comet last weekend, it had bee 11 months since I touched it last. Wish there was a part number for motivation. :D I'd order a case of it.

Good for you! This is exactly why I've vowed to be able to drive mine every summer after doing something to it over the winter. This winter it is at least getting a four speed conversion.

I drive mine everyday. It's going to get retired within the next month, though.
