My best run which hooked finally was 12.91@106mpg with a 1.91 60 ft still plenty of room for improvement. I am just getting use to the mickey thompson et drag radials. I like em, not a set if slicks mind you but still way sticker than a street tire. I did not get to play with air prsseure as I knew the rain was coming. I do not think I will get the 12.20s I was after but I think consistant 12.7s to 12.5s is very possible. NOw just can't wait to get that nitrious kit and hook it up

dude that a good start! do you have a sore neck now? :p

i think some fine tuning you'll be able to get some good times.. you got a good mph. that was 3 more miles an hour then my car when i was in the high 12's

    keep it up!

My first time out I started in the 14's and ended up running a best of 12.22 that day just learning how to drive. Twelves on day one is awesome! Way to go.

    Sorta on topic:
I remember the first time I went from street tires to slicks. It was my first 1.5XX 60'. I actually thought I was screwing up their track!

During those first 60', I was envisioning my tires leaving two deep trenches down to the base concrete behind me.

...but not too concerned to lift of course. :D

    silly me.

Rick I know what you mean. When my car finally hooked it felt like something broke. I almost let off but you know the speed demon on my shoulder talked me out of it. It ended up being some extra nuts and bolts I had laying in the back floor clanked together when it shot up and forward what felt like at least to me being shot out of a cannon. It felt awesome and I knew I had my first 12 sec run of the year since the gear and tire change. It honestly felt better than the slicks coming out of the hole because the 28 inch slicks I have/had(just sold them over the weekend) because the slicks seemed like it bogged it down even with 3.80s and way to much with the current 3.40s. I just love driving my car though so making strictly a drag car was/is out of the question. I honestly believe set up for drag only it might be able to hit low 12s to high 11s. Then again it just might be my male macho ego and wishful thinking:rolleyes: :biglaugh:

    Sounds good!
Its definitely "more" difficult to try and have a car thats the best of both worlds when you want it to be the best of both worlds.
12's in the street legal car that you can drive to Columbus, OH. is nothing to sneeze at.
    VERY impressive in my Opinion!

Lance that awesome for first time out...take that air pressure down to around 14-15 pounds and those Mickeys will show ya what's what.
I understand the dilemna between having a street cruiser and wanting to go faster, I'm at that point also...any number of things, bigger cam, taller gear, lightening the load, etc etc. mean faster times but less street friendly.
That's ok though... my little hay hauler is gonna pull a mid 5 second 1/8th.;)
