This might sound like a simple question, but are there any snags that I might encounter in swapping out a 200 with a 250? The 250 is coming out of the 74 with a 3 speed manual. It's going into the newly acquired 72 with a c4.

To answer your original question ... The C4 is different on the 200 than on a 250. You will need either a 250 or 302 backing plate and C4 tranny .... and starter as well ... 250 also used the larger 250/302 radiator ...

You will need the 250/302 (351 , 289 , 300 ect.) C4 bellhousing and dust shield (backing plate) . You can use the 200 c4 on the 250 but take it easy on it. You can prolly get by with using the 200 rad with the 250 depending on how hot it gets where you live. You will need to use the 250 motor mounts as well because it is wider than the 200 .

I don`t know if you have any plans on moddin the 250 but here is a web site with all kinds of cool inline ford hop up parts to drool over :) www.fordsixparts.com and a good inline forum www.fordsix.com
