Info for anyone traveling through St. Louis on the way to the Roundup and planning a stop over. The area had severe storms on Wednesday and Friday which resulted in a large amount of power outages. On Friday they said there was not a hotel room within 100 miles available. It will get better by mid week as they are down to about 300,000 customers without power at it's peak it was at 575,000.

Also like I told Don, anyone coming through the area I will assist anyway I can. PM me for the number.

Ill be landing in Louisville on Thursday around 1:30PM, pick up my rental and head off to Owensboro. I plan to check in to the hotel, then grab a bite to eat at the Moonlite BBQ Inn (voted one of the best restaurants in Kentucky) and then head off to the track. On Sunday, I plan to leave for Louisville at 9am and then meet up with Lance (Mavowar) at around 12:30 at the airport.

So if anyone needs a lift/gets stuck or wants to join me for dinner at the Moonlite BBQ Inn, you can reach me at 514-831-6497.

well, i just checked into a motel in santa rosa, new mexico. almost 700 miles today. at this rate i should be there sometime tuesday afternoon. went about 100 miles and stopped to top off and get a drink, tried to lock the truck door with the remote. it wouldn't work. looked at the remote and it was for the mustang, so i left my other set of keys home. i have all the keys except for the rear of the trailer so i can't get the car out.:slap: guess i'll stop off at the locksmith shop or find a big set of bolt cutters. :biglaugh: i also helped a guy from mexico that was low on gas at a rest stop in new mexico. he came over and asked if i had some extra gas i could sell him. he had his whole family there and wasn't sure he could make it to the next town. i opened the trailer door, his first words almost at a shout were "you have a maverick". he loved the car. i found out he races in mexico. he has a nova with a 350 in it. i refused any money and when i left his whole family was waving to me. felt good to help someone out, especially a fellow racer. last of all. anyone in new mexico there's a 4dr maverick for sale in a yard about mile post 158 on I-25. see ya.
