Just bought a 1973 Maverick a couple days ago. I had a 72 Comet in high school and just loved it...but when I was away from home my parents sold it and I came home to no car...so after about 7 years without, I am finally back in the game and looking to have some fun with this. The Maverick looks pretty good inside and out, except the bench seat is torn...I'm picking up a 74 Maverick with pristine LDO bucket seats and swapping them in over the next week. Unfortunately, I won't be able to keep the parts car for more than about a week (I really don't have anywhere to put it)...but I've got high hopes for this project...starting with the seats. I'll keep posting as I make changes. In the meantime, I'm glad to have a place to share...and with some people who really can appreciate a great automobile.
