About a week ago I purchased a 1974 2dr. Maverick. I believe it has a 250 inline 6cyl but it may be a 200. The car has 82,000 miles on it, bought from a friend's dad for $1,000. Its a little rough around the edges but shouldn't take to much work to be a decent car. I found this site and it's really helped me cut down on a lot of time that would've been wasted otherwise. So far I've put in a new radiator and fixed the dash lights, changed the plugs and plugged a tire and it's pretty much road worthy. There were a few things I was wondering though; my front seat is pretty beat up and I was wondering what a good replacement would be. It doesn't necessarily have to be pretty or anything, I just need something easy and affordable....I also have a lot of brittle, dusty plastic like the kick panels i would like to do something with, im just not sure what I need to do. I'm also in pretty serious need of a diagram of a fusebox, since i can't find a repair manual and I don't have a lot of money...I'm an 18 year old college student that works at wal-mart =) Thanks for any help you can give me and thanks for all the help I've already got from you guys...I'm glad I chose a maverick
Thanks By the way that diagram is awesome. I really need to know what fuses do what, but i have saved that chart for future reference...i know i'll need it...
Welcome my Inline 6 Brother... THis IS a great site. You should also check out classicinlines.com and fordsix.com.... folks here are a little 302-centric....
Welcome! what seat do you have? is it the bench or the bucket seat? You can have them upholstered but that's expensive. Junk yards is an option. But there are some on the board who have taken other seats from other cars. I took mustang bucket seats and installed them very easily.
