Hey Georgia Mav and Comet owners and those reasonably close to Atlanta. Melvin's Classic Ford Parts, in Conyers, GA, is now carrying Maverick parts. They have everything that AutoKrafters has, plus a large selection of street rodder parts that are adaptable. I spent over $800 there today. Their prices are the same or lower than AutoKrafters. I may have spent more in sales tax than I would have in shipping, but I got to look at the merchandise before buying. I am impressed with them. I knew they were great for Mustang, T-Bird, Truck, and Falcon parts; I did not know that they now have Maverick parts and keep a lot in stock. They have my business. Here's a link to their website. It's not much of a web site, but you can phone numbers and location information. http://www.melvinsclassicfordparts.com/
Thats awesome that they have Mav parts now! My dad has been going there for years, I'll definately have to check it out.
Cool ... they stock Maverick repop stuff like weatherstripping or just stuff that crosses with a Mustang?
I bought all the weatherstripping for one car today. It was in stock. I ordered a headliner and carpet. The carpet will be shipped direct to my house; I can pick the healiner up next Saturday.
?. (But will he share? ....) Have I upset you? Or are you just a funny guy?:16suspect I,ll probably regret this but... How much did you pay for the carpet and how much did you pay for the headliner?
Also , Summit racing is building a new 25,000 sq. ft. store in Mcdonough (just south of Atlanta ....BUt we of coarse will have to pay sales tax there too.
Just being a first class smart aleck. You questions was "Can I ask...." I simply answered that you could ask. Now you have asked, "How much...." I paid $135 dollars carpet. I will be shipped to my house direct from ACC and I paid no shipping fees. I paid $60 for the headliner. It will shipped to Melvin's and I can pick it up next Saturday. They had color samples of both products. I chose what color and type of carpet and I chose a factory headliner in the color of my choice. I saved $4 over AutoKrafters. I paid no shipping, but paid sales tax. I did not have to wait for someone to mail me samples. I made choice and placed my order today. I figure I saved a fes days. I've always liked Melvin's; I really like 'em now.
All I chose on the headliner was the color. I told them I wanted a factory headliner for a 1973 Maverick. I'll let you know next week the exact details. I'm not that picky on this headliner for this car.
