Will the front & rear valance off of the earlier Mavericks fit the big bumper cars? I would like to have a valance on my Comet. The car looks like something is missing to me. If not the Maverick than what other options do I have that might fit. I would like for it to be metal so it can be welded in place. Or would this make the Comet look like a mess.

Yes they will - with a little work you can fit them onto a later model. Read this excellent how to written by Dennis (Mavaholic), about the big to small bumper swap. It covers the valences.

If I can't find them, do I have an option for parts off another car?

There is no direct bolt on from another model car that I know of, but with fabrication and a little creativity you could adapt some Mustang reproductions. There are also fiberglass reproductions out there, but they require fitting from what I've read. I don't think you will have much trouble finding some. They are on ebay all the time. Watch out for a seller named NW Classics - he will sell valances for $10 on ebay but charge you $90 shipping ! :yup:

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll start looking to see what I find. I still want to keep the big bumpers, so it might look funny until I get use to it.
