Hey Guys, I live up in Freeport, Fl which is between Tallahassee and Pensacola. I'm just getting back into Mavericks after a 27 year hiatus. I am in the process of trying to making one nice Maverick out of a half decent 76. and a pretty far gone 71 Parts car. I've seen a few posts from other Florida members, mostly from central and south Fl. I'm curious to know just how many members there are down here. Let us know a little about yourselves and your rides. Maybe someday somebody will organize a meet in our area.

I'm from Bunnell! My 74 Maverick is mostly original, with the 250,C4,factory air. It has 80,035 miles on it,and runs great! The only non-original items are,70s era slot rims and sound system.:)

I don't know about how many members there are but I know everytime I turn around someone in Jacksonville Fla. has a Maverick for sale.
I think I have seen more Mavericks for sale out of Jacksonville then any other one spot in the USA

I bought my Yellow Maverick from Jacksonville, off ebay, have seen too many on ebay to remember that were/are in Jacksonville and there is this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...c69QQitemZ160550317161QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks

on there from Jacksonville right now.

I can remember when I was younger and Dad or Grandfather used to talk about trade-in value at the car dealer all the dealers in this area use to tell everyone that traded in cars with more than 60,000 miles on them the dealer would tell you that he couldn't give much for the trade-in because of the mileage and say it was because they would just end up shipping it down south to sell down there and if they had to do that they would lose money on them.

I am starting to think that all the Mavericks from up here in Maryland that got traded in got "shipped down south" to Jacksonville Florida. hahah

Glad to hear you got her running OK. I just finished installing my rebuilt trans, and taking care of some electrical issues this past weekend;. Now it's time to start the cosmetic portion of the project. I cant wait to get her on the road, and looking good.
