floor shifter with split bench seat?

    i have a split bench seat car and want to keep it that way.....however i want to install a floor shifter .....any ideas guys?

    I had a factory floor shift in my 74 Grabber for years, with the bench seat. I installed it in the stock location with no issues.

    i think as long as your not extremely short and don't need the bench up tight and close.. it shouldn't get into the range of hitting the bench in 1st gear.

    You dont get much shorter then me, I'm 5'6" and short legs. My seat is waaaay up. The shifter almost lays on the seat, but its still not a problem shifting at all.

    Mine fits just fine with the bench. I actually like the bench seat so I'm glad it fit no problems.
