    Hi,
Well i'm about to get started on installing my new torque converter (TCI 2400stall part #451100), and of course the bolts don't line up with my flexplatel! The motor i have is a 1980 302, and my transmission is a '78 C4. I have a smaller flexplate that i believe came off of a early 70's 302 that the torque converter bolts right into. I realize this will mean a smaller bellhousing, but other than that, any problems? I believe the balance factor is the same between the '80 302 and the mid-70's 302, it's just a difference in flexplate size/number of teeth, right?
    Thanks!

nope, all you'll need is a matching "small" bellhousing. Easy swap. Good luck!
