HI my name is cory and I am 16 yaers old. My dad and I are fixing up a 1970 maverick. We have a 77 V8 car that we are pulling every thing off of and puting on the 70. Question do we have to modify the brake lines for the 5-lug rear end to fit. One more question is will a 15x10 wheel with a 4'' back spacing fit my car. I would apperciate all the help I can get Thank you Cory
I think the lines should interchange... I would disconnect it from the body end, not the splitter, leaving the hose connected to the diff.
The '77 looks pretty nice, why are you parting it out? The only problem you may have with the rear brake line is the hollow bolt that holds the brass part of the line to the rearend, and serves double purpose as the vent for the rearend. The one on your '70 will likely be too big, you will have to swap the one from the '77.
The pictures do not tell the truth. The 77 has a lot of rust that would be hard to fix. The 70 is in good condition it even had the original trunk mat and spare tire jack.
