Was putting gas in the Mav today, used the "locking feature" on the filler nozzle and stood back while filling up. Next thing I know the nozzle shoots out of the filler neck and falls on the ground still pumping. Got it stopped almost immediately and continued to fill up. (All the while a little embarrased about the whole deal). Good thing I hadn't walked around the front to check the oil or do a routine check under the hood while pumping gas. Am going to keep my hands on it from now on.

    DOH!

Around here they rip them out of every pump nozzle in every station. Haven't seen one that had the locking feature in many years

Mine just continues to pump, and spews out all over behind the car.

Something about the shape of our cars, they don't click off when they are full.

I HAVE walked away and come back to 2 or 3 gallons of gas all around the back of the car and still coming out.

    Embarrassing, and very dangerous.
