Has anybody ever adapted the newer (eighties) sport steering wheels "without" a horn, to work somehow "with" a horn? I was wondering if there was a way to make it work. The first 2 photos attached show the newer sport wheel that does NOT have the provisions for a horn (I think they started putting the horn on the smart switch). The second 2 photos show the regular steering wheel (with a horn).

Do they come apart enough to swap the parts?
I had a 1979 Capri, that had the sport wheel, and the horn was on the turn signal, when I first got the car, everytime I turned the corner, I honked the horn....

i did it on my first sport wheel.I didnt know they made different ones at that time. you have to grind off the little tabs that hold that plate on. its a p.i.t.a. but take your time. do the same to the wheel that has the horn contacts on it. transfer the horn contacts and tack weld them in place..... Its not hard to do just a little time consuming.
