I want to put dual exhaust all the back on my 71 Maverick. The passenger side has lots of room but the drivers is very close to the gas tank as you know. What have you guys done to fix this? Could you post some pics?

Right now there is 3" pipes on it that turn down right in front of the rearend which is very loud. I want to run 2 1/2 all the way out of the back.

Thought about moving the fuel tank over about an inch but has anyone doen that? Is there an easier way?

Does going with a 69 tank interfere with the exhaust any more than a 65-68 Mustang tank?

Will the filler holes line up?

Just use the Mustang sending unit? will the gauge read the same?

What is the vent and gromment for? I have a 68 Mustang and it doesn't have them

    Thanks

You'll be fine with 2.5" A lot of guys run these on the stock mav tank.
