im goin to fab some down pipes for my maniflods and was wondering if flexible exhaust coupleers could be used in some way. being that my engine is at an angle i have to fab a custom on for the passenger side of the car but i do plan to modify both so they'll match.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
If its the kind im thinking of im pretty sure theyll kink. If you dont have access to a bender then pie cuts are your best friend. You can basically get any angle you want if you take your time.

i kinda figured that. using pre-formed cuts seem to be my best option

There are two kinds of flex pipe available. One is corregated pipe and it will kink unless you are very careful and make gentle bends. The other is the rolled tube and it will burn up quick if it close to the manifolds. you cannot make shap bends with it at all. Neither one is useful in performance applications. Turbulance and poor flow mean you get less flow than a pipe the size of the inside diameter and they cool the exhaust down so you lose the energy in the exhaust.
Buying "U" bends and cutting to the right angles is the best way to go. Next would be to make saw cuts almost through to make the bend you need and then weld all the cuts up. This make more turbulence than the mandrell bent tubes but it is better than flex pipe.
