1970 200 I6. Ok engine still runs and gets me everywhere I need to go, BUT, when my foot is not on the gas, the RPM's are bouncing like a jack hammer!! I have already played with the air and gas screws on the carb. Helps some but goes back to doing the same thing. My dad messed with the dizzy a little but I dont know if he advanced or retarded the timing. I do have an exhaust leak but I doubt that would be a contributing factor seeing as though There has been a leak long before this problem. Not very experienced at all in mechanics but learning, so thorough explantaion would be helpful thanx, Derek.

Ok thanx, I had bought a rebuilt carb from advance auto about a year ago, So I dont know how long that should last. You would think it would go longer than a year!! I know I have vacuum lines not hooked up by reason of when I got a new water neck it didnt have the peice that screws in the neck for the vacuum lines(sorry I dont have my vocab built yet! ha) It just had a Stud so to speak to screw in there. But Those lines havent been hooked up for about a year so why would it start to go wrong now?
