I made a post about going from a 200 to a 302 a few months ago, but I can't find it. When we were picking my Mav up, my dad asked me if I wanted to rebuild the 200i6, change it with a 302, or use (what I think is) a 2.3L(140 CID) i4 from an '80s Mustang. What would be the best choice just to get to and from school everyday and to use as a daily driver after highschool?
First ask yourself, Is this going to be a cruiser or just a running car to get some where. If you have a dream of making something nice to show an to keep. I would use the 6 or 302. Engine kits are overly priced if you stay on a budget. Plan something on paper an then commit to it. Set your goal .You can always change things on paper.But don't buy things an then change them.
