anyone know of a good website that sells engine rebuild kits for 302 that is relatively cheap and yet decent performance-wise.

    I used partsamerica.com and summitracing.com

Got the cam & lifters from summit, and everything else from PA.
    THe rebuild went good.

Oh yeah, I had to buy a new crank. I got that off of ebay (brand new) for 150 including shipping.

If you have someone doing the machine work,,,check with them an have Summit prices with you. Lots of time you will do better with buying your parts from your local guy. Give him a chance to make a buck.

Who is doing your work on engine and what kind of performance you looking for?

for the machining work i am having someone local do it everything else my father and i will probably do together, i am just looking for street performance, no drag racing, (just spin the tires every once in a while!!!!):)

Sounds like a good father/son project. Clean it up and throw a cam in it. Should get what you want...
