With the season winding down here in Ohio....although I haven't put the Mav away yet, been driving her the last few days with the skies being blue and the temps in the upper 60s.......she will be put in the garage shortly. Thinking as to what I am going to do to her I have a few questions and would like others opinions. I am going to keep the 250 IL with some mods, e.g. headers, intake carb upgrade etc....no need to comment on this, the V8 swap just isn't going to happen...anyway my quetions:

    1. Should I paint the engine compartment the same color as the car or black it out. It is the color of the car now...I believe this is how it came stock, looking for some opinions.

    2. What year of the Bobcat tail lights bolt righ on making the back tail lights longer?

    Thanks for the replies.

I probably wud go w/ the car/engine color. I like the mention of keeping the 250.
Can't comment on the tail lights - don't know anything abt them.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I like satin black engine bays. But they do require more cleaning than a body colored one.

I think all bobcats had the same lights, so any year would work.

All they have is an extra bolt, you can cut it off and they'll be a 100% bolt on.

    That's how I did mine:

Looks like our nice Ohio weather is going away. I would go with the original color and tailights!

I would go with body color under the hood.

JPL I recently tried a 1904 model holley on my six cyl. and man what acceleration. Tried an 1100 autolite and a carter rbs but the holley is awsome. The only thing with the holley is the air filter attachments, and I have figured that out. hope this helps:tiphat:.
