Well....I got my little 302 and C-4 installed in my 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber FINALLY!!! Still a lot to do....but it is IN!!
Oh yeah, here is my little 302 on the dyno being broken in. While others "blue sky" their numbers....I have the print out to prove it. 358 horsepower / 384 ft. pounds of torque Not bad for an all cast iron little 302 block.
Lookin good. AC car to. What color is that on the engine? Are them holes in them pretty towers for grease fittings ?
Now to let part of the cat out of the bag. Wow ... serious HP .... but what's up with the color ... thought you were going for the concourse look too?
Yes....AC car. The blue is the Por-15 Ford engine paint. Turned out a little dark....but it should look good once I get the rest of the motor back together. Yes....holes for greasing the fittings. They will be plugged with rubber floor plugs for a factory look.
Good choice on the valve covers ... I went with the later Ford Oval as well ... didn't like the FOMOCO print on them ...
It is blue....just a little dark inside that part of my garage. Those are not the valve covers going on the motor. I didn't want to scratch mine. I am putting the original valve covers back on.
If I squint real hard I can see the blue ... From the work I've seen done on your car .... you're gonna have the crown jewel of Grabbers ... (even if it is an automatic ....)
