I, for one, am in a puddle of befuzzlement over this ordeal.

I don't know if you have rubber dampers where you're radiator is mounted or not, but you might at least try an alligator clip jumper-wire from the radiator to the chassis just to see if there is a difference.

    Strange, in deed. :hmmm:

I think perhaps you are confused on how to read your instruments. You cannot have 12V positive from your hose. walk us thru your measurement tequnique please.

you could hook up your radio to your radiator hose and make those volts work for you! (y)

is your radiator hard mounted to the car or is it floating on rubber?

Is that the pos terminal? if so, it is flowing from positive to ground. i just did this same on mine, with same result. you would need to put it on neg terminal to have a positive source on hose. in other words no problem.
Blownmav's link says it all clearly.

    I've had a few
Since when does rubber conduct electricity?:hmmm: I just went out and tried my car. I get 11.86 volts to the radiator itself, but the radiator hose shows like .01 of a volt and even then it's fluctuating back and forth between 0 volts and .01...

That appears to be the postive terminal.

i have found many fords have this problem of electrolysis and I have also found this same problems on detriots and old cummins they get so bad that I have found the impellor on the water pump completely gone nothing there. I have also found the same on some fords. You need to make sure that its a good quality pump. I have found that using the cheaper products really increases your odds of having the process of electrolysis happen something in the make up of the metals. The reading on the meter is normal although they say that rubber is an insulator under the right conditions it will conduct voltage great.
