My buddy has a 71 2 dr and his driver side window was smashed out. So I found him a window out of a 75 2dr, which I ASSUMED would be the same glass, WRONG. He called me and said when he was putting in the glass that the 2 holes drilled in the glass did not line up at all with the regulator upper arms. So does the early type Mavericks have a different glass than the later Mavericks? Maybe they changed the glass in 74 when they went to the Heavier-Safer door with that crash beam in it???

So if that is the case, I need a glass from a early type car-OR can we use the window regulator from a later car & then use the glass I got off that 75??? Confused here, any ideas?

The regulators use a different support arm also and bolt up different. I think you will be ahead of the game by finding the correct glass. They are millions of small differences between early vs late year Mavericks when you get a looking.
