Jaimie, the headers are sweet, here are the pics, but I'm not sure how to get araound the pitman arm, as I had with others, but theres a better chance than with the rest. Do I have something wrong?

BTW, THe car started up today after a year, sounds awesome:tiphat:

that's what I'm saying, everything mount wise seems to be right, the car doesn't appear to ever have been hit, bit I still hit the pitman arm, can;t make a left turn, why am I having so much trouble where others don't, somethings got to be wrong somewhere

Cut that pipe short and cap it, that'll do the job just fine... er... well...

On a power steering car, between the control valve and tie rod ends, you have a fair amount of adjustment. On a manual steering car, you only have the tie rods, you could make the right side longer and left side shorter to move the pitman away from the exhaust (right? trying to picture it in my head, if I'm wrong, reverse).

How far can you turn left before it hits? Half? 3/4?

I installed mine yesterday as well (just a mock fit....still have more work to do).

I think I am going to cut that little tab off of the tranny bellowhousing to make more room to swing the exhaust away from the pitman arm.

there is no left turn, the wheels are straight there, I think I'm gonna have to make a wacky looking pipe to get above the arm, I just don't quite get it, if the collector dumped where it does on the pass side, it would be a non issue. I'm going to see if I can get a piece mandrel bent, and rigth at the bend, weld the bell on, and use smaller flanges, either that or weld the bell at a 90deg angle to a piece of pipe, and cap the end, it's gonna be ugly, but it looks easier then trying to get the 6901s to clear

I thought these were test fitted?

I know that while I am doing a Rack and pinion Install I am going to have to make a custom Driver side Header. Gotta love this stuff. :bananaman

I would assume with stokc headers or shorty headers What i am doing wouldn't be so hard.

I'm thinking about making a tempo style rack and pinion work in my car, and this may be the driving force behind it

That's the Rack I am using;)

It looks like a good candidate so far....out rod ends will be a bit of a challenge. I got a machinist buddy so:bowdown:
