Me and a friend were discussing whether or not you have to bleed mech. oil pressure gauges. The ones that have the plastic tubing that goes from the engine to the gauge. Russ

    Interesting question.

I am guessing no since it is not a sealed system.
The air will make it's way back to the engine and
will be released in the crankcase somewhere.

I didn't bleed mine and it works fine, the instructions didn't say anything about it either

i never bled mine either, however i did change the plastic tubing out for the copper line. if the plastic tubing breaks or cracks it will leak oil into the car. depending on where it leaks of course.:)

Ditto on the changing of the lines. I braided mine after frying an engine ater only 2 hours. Plasitc line melted on a hedder tube and pumped my oil all over the road and spun a bearing. Expensive lesson!! Scotty P
