decklid latch play

    I have play in my decklid latch mechanism -- the lid can be wiggled around when shut. I have tried adjusting the decklid in every position by playing with the four bolts on the hinge arms, but the lid can still be jiggled up and down when shut. Has anybody else had this problem? Any suggestions??

    The hinge bolts have nothing to do with how tight the deck lid fits at the latch. Notice on the latch, the part that stays in the trunk,, it has adjustment in it, 3 bolts I think. Move them down, should fit tight after that.

    if your weatherstrip is baddly worn it will also wiggle. i put new weatherstrip on mine, now i cant seem to get mine closed all the way
