Does anyone have a 1971 Maverick with this type of Service Specs decal from the factory? IF so .. where was it located? I have seen it in 71 Mustangs on the radiator support but the support is not wide enough on a Maverick .... THanks ...
If nobody answers you in the next day or two....email me and I will look on my unmolsted 1971. It is also a factory V-8, AC car....if that matters.
I honestly can't say I have ever seen that sticker on any of my 71's. Of course all of my engine compartments are modified so they don't have any stickers on them now anyway but I don't recall ever removing one like that.
Thanks Ray ... I place it all around and it just didn't look right anywhere ... the only place it kinda looked right was on the underside of the hood next to the latch ... This was my unmolested engine compartment ...
I think it goes on the valve cover, DM. Sorry I don't remember which side. I think that an orange sticker was on my driver's side cover, but that would be '74. Seth
I did put the emissions decal on the valve cover ... this is the service specs ... All MCA information says in 71 it went on the driver side shock tower. Obviously that's for a Mustang ..
Dan, My 71 had it on the passenger side shock tower, about half way between the grease access, and the top of the tower, and the sticker wrapped around from the front to the inside of the tower. I think I might have a picture of it, I'll check when I get home, can't check the car, I took all the stickers off Shaun
I just looked at my unmolested 71 V8/auto/PS/AC car (I drove it to work today--JOY JOY!) and mine is on the underside of the hood to the passenger side of the latch. It is nboot totally flat, it wraps around that area on the cure a little (lengthwise).
I looked at my 71 parts car and it is on the passenger side shock tower in the front, the same as the pic in the ealier post. Looking at the front mine is about 1/2 inch higher on the right, the guy must have not worn his glasses that day.
