IMAG0112.jpg IMAG0113.jpg IMAG0116.jpg Hey everyone so I'm having my first small problem with the 73 maverick but I was hoping someone could help. so I've noticed all my gauges work but the gas gauge and for some reason the lights that actually light up the gauges won't work it's weird because all the other lights work except for those 4. I'm also curious on what those two handles are for

The larger handle is for the emergency brake and the smaller knob is for the fresh air vent. Have you checked the fuse for dash lights ? could also be the headlight switch rheostat have you tried turning it and seeing if lights come on at all. While you have the cluster out it would be a good time to change out to some brighter bulbs so when you get it working it will be better than new.

Gas gauge is probably not related to the light problem and is likely to be a problem with sending unit or wiring. You could pull the wiring plug at gas tank and ground it out and gauge should read full if so then it is the sending unit in tank if not then issue is wiring or gauge problem or voltage regulator that is on the gauge in the upper right hand corner of picture
