Hi, look like my trunk floor has a 6" long crack in it. Someware along the way sombody has put a beef up plate for the right side upper shock mount. This is ware the crack started. Wish they have a least stop drilled the crack. Is there a way to fix the crack with out welding it? Also how do you clean out the drain for the cowl/heater box, and were is the drain?:drive:

    Thanks
    Tony

Fiberglass is fine to repair leaks but you can't use it for structural areas like the shock mount. Stop drill the crack, weld it up and then re-inforce as necessary to keep it from breaking someplace else in the future. If it has already been reinforced then use a backer plate on the underside held in place with steel pop rivets and epoxy the topside to seal it.

Oh, man! Did I ever misread the first post (traumatized by having breakfast with Frank). Gotta weld. You may want to use the method I posted about afterwards as a reinforcement procedure.
