just bought my car,it has a 6" cowl hood, how is the vision seeing over? i had no choice it came on car,i was thinking of putting the stock hood back on but i dont know if it is worth the time and money to repaint and find a used hood, car was built as a show car looking for input? car looks sharp but.

6" sounds too tall to me.

too tall is what i thought,i hate to start taking the car apart and bring it back to stock, the previous owner did put a lot of money in car and i think the hood makes the car.

    WOW! That is big!

Is there something under it requiring all that freed up real estate, or is it just for looks?

302, it is for looks, i think the other owner was trying to make that the main show part of the car, i know he has hard time trying to sell it so maybe that was the deal breaker, i wonder how a flat black stock hood will look???

I remember that car on ebay. Glad to see it finally sold.

After seeing the picture....WAY too high in my opinion. Probably hard to see around when sitting in the driver's seat.

Wow that hood is technically illegal here, nothing is supposed to pass safety inspection over 4 inches on the stock hood(unless its factory) due too the possible imparement of vision, that is unless you have a show car permit. But then you have mileage restrictions on how much you can drive it.
