I hope i am in the right section for this, but i am after some help in fitting a Clevo into a Maverick. Has anyone done on here? if so what trouble did you have, and what sort of headers do you run. The reson for me doing this is because i have in the last couple of days writen off my current ride and as a freind over here has a Grabber i thought one of theses cars would be a great project for me and my daughter. So if anyone can help me that would be great. Aussie John.

PS this is what i wrote off.

the damage on that doesnt look too bad, but im not seeing it all. i had a truck back into the front of mine and i was able to repair it. anyways, is the clevo a reference to a clevor (cleveland windsor mix) if so there are guys here who have and say its not that bad of a fit. sounds like an awesome ride, when will we see some pics of it?(y)

No sorry i should have said it is 387 Cleveland C10 that i want to slip into one. As for the XC the roof just above the woindow is ripped open and that why they will write it off. I did have a feeling that you could fit the Cleverland in, although not have both cars sitting side by side its hard to tell. I am in the prosess of looking for a good Maverick as we speak. I would like to find one if posseble with a 9" diff already fitted, but i dont like my chance's but i guess you never know do you.

insurance companies will total anything, they tried to call mine one and i told them they better not or theyd be in court along with the trucking company. they changed their tune real quick. not that im trying to talk you out of a mav, just letting you know that ive seen worse repaired.
look up shock tower mods if you do decide to change and search for the motor swap as well.:2cents:

I thought you could not register a car down under unless it was RHD...
Or will they make an exception for a classic import?

Btw: Did your totaled car have a 9" rear?
Seems to me that you might have many parts that will swap into a 'Yank' Ford.
    Good luck

You can register it as long as its 25 years or older. Yes i have a 387 Cleverland C4 and 9" so all of the running gear is set.
