I started looking at the charcoal cannister and thought I would get some info on how to remove it before I dive in. I can see a bracket on the inner fender inside the wheel well which has 3 studs protruding inside. Dos these hold the cannister in place? Also, how is the top secured? I removed the vent line. Is there any other lines or anything else that needs to be removed?

Dont plug the vent line if you remove the cannister. You can delete the line that goes to the air cleaner completely.Just un-bolt the bracket from the inner fender and pull the assembly as a whole.Depending on Emissions requirements in your area it may be illegal to remove it.It doesnt really hamper performance if that is your concerne. It just looks ugly and cluttered.

But I still need to find out where the nuts are so I can remove it. Are the nuts inside the cannister and how many are there?

there are three nuts.behind the cannister, should be one bolt on the strap holding the cannister to the bracket, loosen it remove the cannister and you will see the three nuts.Sorry I misspoke earlier.Cant remove it as an assembly, gotta do it piece by piece.
