Ok I am sorry for starting another post on a question that has been answered before. But I recall someone complaining about the carpet from J.C. Whitney, but nor could I remeber who had carpet that would actualy fit nicely in a 73 Mav. And just to let you know, if anyone is actualy thinking of using the paint "specialy made for Vynil" it has worked extrmely well on almost all of our kickplates, dash, and basicaly everything we have not had/are having recovered. The paint costs like $5.00 a can at Autozone, and is well worth it. Just do many many thin layers. a can will paint roughly 2 kickplates.
I had J.C. Whitney carpet, it didn't fit right. Got ACC carpet from Autokrafters, it fit just like factory.
FYI, in my experience, acc makes great carpet. We bought some for my brothers 86 mustang, and have no regrets. You will have to cut your seat belt holes, and let it sit in the sun for a few days before install to get the wrinkles out.
