We had 18 Mavs/Comets for Carlisle '03 total attendance by today. There were plenty of Mav stuff around and many bargains were found. The weather did not play fair yesterday and today with Saturday being rainy and today cold and windy, but that did little to dampen spirits. If you missed this year, you should plan to attend next. We'll have to organize some late day activities for next year for us. They roll up the sidewalks early here. It's a beautiful, friendly town though! The Mavs gained a lot of attention by the show goers!
Yea man!!! Had a great time!! It sure was great catching up with mav buddies from pittsburg and meeting new people. I was especially happy to meet Doug and Jean Doll. Weather? What weather? I scoff in the face of weather! PUHH!!! Wes thanks again for everything. I think I will have that grill done within the week. Oh man it was great the bruiser mav (Russ of course!!) and The Unrefined (My blue mav) riding with Wes and his Stallion, oh man what a weekend. Dont be fooled by pictures of me sleepin in my mav, I had a blast!! If anybody wanted to come but didnt get the oppertunity, definately make time for next year! Next year, I definately think we should have a cruise saturday evening. After the bikini contest!! GRRRR On that note, I sure had a good time and am looking forward to pittsburg. Have a good one, -Todd
It was great to meet some of you great people and put a face with a name.....as well as see some great old friends. Sorry I didn't get to spend much time with you folks....as rain sent me away early on Saturday afternoon, and I didn't come out at all on Sunday like I planned. Fun time all the same.
I made it Friday... ...I met B McDaniel and Dennis (Mavaholic). Good to meet you Dennis, I want to talk with you more about the gas tank swap. Hate I missed meeting you Craig and some other of you guys and gals. Seth
I really, really wanted to go but ended up swamped with work all weekend. yea well hopefully next year i will be there. is anybody going to post any pictures?
What can I say? Carlisle is Ford heaven. Car guys and gals never stop amazing, amusing, and educating me. Everyone, no matter what their skill level has something to offer. The only complaint I have is the usual one, Its just not long enough. Oh yea, I could complain about a certain nameless president that left my trailer door open and soaked the floor, but I wont, he will just blame it on his evil twin brother. he-he
it was pretty cool, i talked to a few of you friday, and spent the rest of the time in the swapmeet, was going to get back to meet some more of the other maverick guys but when i finished my rounds saturday it started pouring rain heres a few from around noon friday
another, i have some pics of a grabber it was a dark metal flake blue/green, i was supposed to get your email but got sidetracked.. my camera isn't great but it does the job lol these mavericks were in the for sale section, they were pretty nice looking..
I was going to ask where that Mustang came from in that last picture untill I realized that was the 4 Mavs in the car corral. These guys all came up from NC just to sell these cars. See, even if you dont have a car, you can come and buy one on the spot & move it over to the show field.
yeah it sure was a great time seeing everybody again, meeting doug craig and all the new guys(gals) and my neighbors from bayonne. didn't get a chance to meet everybody. as far as the weather goes... well on the bright side at least i didn't burn my bald head for a change! hope to see everybody in pittsburgh in august!
it may have been raining, but it sure did'nt get anyone down. This is the third year we have been going to Carlisle and this was the best time we had yet. It was terrific to see some familar faces again and make some new friends too. It was a pleasure to meet Wes and Joy, Scott and Todd and Gary Russell and a few whose names I can't remember( forgive me, I'm bad at remembering names). It is always worth the trip. Seeing all those great Mavericks and Comets is always a thrill. For those who had to make the journey home early, the Mustang giveaway car was won by a 17 year old young man from Maryland. The look on his face said it all. I hope you all had a safe trip back home and we can't wait to do it again next year.
