Can someone with R&C Kit give me the alignment specs?

My instructions with the specs are somewhere in storage. Didn't make it into the house after we moved.

The installation instructions came with a set of specs, I assumed they were a little bit different from stock to help with the bite and performance.

What are the stock settings anyway?

 

I don't know, but when the guy puts it up on the rack and enters the year model into the computer, it will tell him where it needs to be.

 

Maybe.. Back when I worked a Pep Boys their equipment didn't have it. Too old. I would have to know the specs from a source and input it manually.

 

This is most likely the case. It has been my experience as well.



From Mitchell On-Demand Vintage:

Caster: -1/2 (+-) 2 degrees. Max variation between wheels of 1 degree.

Camber: +1/4 (+-) 1 degree. Max variation between wheels of 1 degree.

Toe-In: 7/32" (+-) 5/32"

Toe-Out On Turns, Inner: 20 degrees

Toe-Out On Turns, Outer: 18.39 degrees (manual steering), 18.16 degrees (power steering).

 

Not to mention if you contacted R&C I'm sure they would give you the specs.

 

That negative caster always made me wonder what they were thinking.. Personally I am going towards the positive side of the numbers.

 

The spec's I used are: -3/8° camber, +4° caster, and 1/8" toe (in). From what I see, caster is closer to zero with manual steering but mine's a power rack...

 

I only used positive caster on all of my stock cars - my thought is that negative caster is not caster at all unless you are backing up

 

Good to know, now I have it to give to the guy if he doesn't have it.

 

the shop I use has it in their system.
I gave him the specs that came with the RC-107 kit and they were the same...
