    I'd like to know what I have. I gather it's a 1970 and made in Canada but I am not certain

    0X91T168026

    I got this car for free from my neighbor. It has been sitting in his field for 25+ years. Thanks in advance.

    0=1970
    X=St. Thomas Assembly Plant
    91=2 door sedan
    T=200ci 6 cylinder
    168026=Consecutive unit number. The unit number starts a 100000, so your Mav is the 68,026th car (not just Mavs) to roll off the St. Thomas assembly plant in 1970

    Cool thanks. I was told it was a 1970 but I did not have the paperwork yet so I was not certain. 1970 was the year I was born and a Maverick was the kind of car my wife's Mom had when she brought her home from the hospital. I may end up giving the car to my mother in law when I am done with it. I'm not sure.

    Is your ignition switch under the dash board or in the steering column?

    Under the dash. What does that mean?

    That means it's a '69.5 (still titled as a '70). Your car should also have a metal tag riveted to the drivers side door, you can see it when you open the door. Get the codes off that, and we can further decode it, down to the day it was built.

    I'll do that here real soon and I'll post a pic or two. That's cool it's a 69 1/2. Nice that it was a freebie too. :thumbs2:
