Cal Tracs/Split Mono Leaf springs??

Hi i am putting on a set of cal tracs on my 73 maverick i went to buy split mono leaf springs, but he needs some info i am unsure of. so if anyone knows any of this information it would help out or where to get it i would appreciate it.


Car weight
current ground to center of rear wheel opening height
and finally desired height.

currently the car has a 289 c4 8 inch rear end i have taken out the carpet/ insulation plus rear and passenger seats

kevin, my 71 grabber has no rear seat and 2 racing seats, roll cage and fuel cell and weighs about 2710. guess you could measure the rest.

 

This page says "302-8 powered 1973 Maverick weighs 2855 lbs." I think it's a good bit lighter if you have the small bumpers though. '71 and '72 are 2763 and 2786.

 

i agree the 73 is probably heavier. i have the frame connectors and roll cage in which added about 125 pounds to the car.

1973 grabber v-8 empty iron heads aftermarket exhaust and aluminum intake iron heads full interior ps car 3000 lbs tape measure gets the rest 70-73 same weight 74 and later add 3-400 lbs (easily)
