I just got a 70 maverick,my plan is to use the 351c and c6 from my 71 torino. I am retiring the torino from drag racing and want to use the stuff I have. Has anyone here use a c6 in there car? Was there any problems?

Without doing a lot of cutting on the floor pan it won't fit.

Do a search, it's been discussed many times

the c6 is bigger compared to the C4, the problem you will have is that you have a 70 model which has the smallest tunnel.

I was able to get the larger bell housing C-4 to fit in my 72' w/o cutting & it has a larger tunnel but wouldn't do it again. Really close fit and a pain in the Butt! Good Luck!!

A large bellhousing c4 is still different than a C6

Yea I was worried about the width of it,but I think I am going to build a c4 for it. Sucks my c6 is built very well,4000 stall, transbrake, billet servo, roller case. Owell. Thanks for the info guys.

Sell it and buy a C4?

the C4 is lighter, smaller, and takes less power to turn.

its a win, Win, WIN situation :Handshake
