C6 Tranny

    Will a C6 tranny from a 71 model ford truck fit the small block 302 or 351 ? Is there a possible bell housing adaption

    From what I understand, they will fit, and that the c4 and c6 are basically the same, with the c6 being heavier duty.. Anyone else?

    The C-6 will not fit the floorpan/trans tunnel on a Maverick without quite a bit of modifications. The bell housing is quite a bit larger, and the C-4 is a fairly tight fit. But I guess with a torch and a welder, you can make anything fit into anything. Just hate to cut one up, if it is a good car. Just my $0.02.
